Last Friday (8), Riot Games announced the new champion of League of Legends. The newest character in what is one of the biggest competitive games today will be Viego, the Destroyed King.
Riot has yet to reveal everything about the champion, but players already have some interesting information and can certainly already know what to expect. Viego is able to summon fog and use the Blade of the Ruined King to drain the life of his enemies, in addition the character also has the special ability Monarchic Domination, which allows him to control fallen champions, for a short period of time, with powers of necromancy.

To reveal the character, Riot released a video on its official YouTube channel. Being one of the famous cinematic animations of League of Legends, Land with Ruin shows champions Lucian and Senna exploring the mist that reveals itself to be the place where Viego lives.
Viego tries to use Senna's power to bring back his love, while a mist with dark powers spreads across several locations. Other characters such as Poppy, Samira, Darius and Vayne also appear facing enemy forces. Finally, after fleeing alongside Senna, Lucian states that it is not possible to defeat the Ruined King alone.
Riot has already stated that the fight against Viego will be portrayed in various ways throughout the year. In addition to being the new champion of League of Legends, the Ruined King will also be the great enemy in The Ruined King: Uma História League of Legends, the single-player role-playing game being developed by Riot to further expand this universe.
Riot is developing an MMO in the League of Legends universe
Without a confirmed release date, Viego is expected to arrive in the game sometime in January. League of Legends is expected to gain three more new champions in 2021.
