Niantic announces big update called Buddy Adventure for Pokemon GO

Pokemon Go, developed by the Niantic studio, is about to get a new update, but it's not just any update, it will bring a new way to play the augmented reality mobile game. The name of the update is called Adventure of Companions and it will arrive in 2020. It will bring the possibility for the player to play with pokemons through augmented reality, being able to feed them, walk with them, battle, pet, etc.

Unfortunately, the novelty does not yet have a fixed date to arrive. But at least the developers revealed details of what the new mechanics for interacting with pokemons will look like. As the trainer gives fruit to your pokemon, its companion level will increase until it reaches "Good Companion" and giving access to other options. The more the player interacts with the pokemon, the more the affection level will increase, providing various bonuses.

When the player reaches the level of "Great Companion", the pokemon will be able to assist the trainer during his captures and also bring extra items. At the "Ultracompanion" level, your partner will let you know which places around you are most interesting. Finally, when you get the "Best Companion" level, it will be possible to increase your combat points (CP) during battles.

In the case of affection, the pokemon's mood can change, and each of them will react differently in augmented reality. When you reach the "Excited" level, which is as good-natured as possible, the distance to get candy while hiking is cut in half. Another interesting point is that now the progress towards getting candy is not reset when changing partners.
