[Nintendo] New patent for Joy-Con controllers features adjustable hinges

The Nintendo Switch console and its controllers, the Joy-Con, were revolutionary in their release. The way the controllers detach from the console and the accessories available for them give countless possibilities for applications. However, there are imperfections that need to be improved on the Nintendo controller, and the biggest one is its ergonomics. If the player plays for a long period of time, the Joy-cons can cause some discomfort because their shape/size doesn't help much to get a more comfortable "grip".

However, for the happiness of Nintendo fans, there was recently a patent registration, where the Japanese game developer company demonstrates through sketches a hinge mechanism in the Joy-con. The folds are located at the top, where the joysticks go to control the characters. The result you have is a format similar to a common controller, analyzing the way you handle it.

It was a brilliant move by the company's employees. With this idea, players will be able to play with more comfort and even more freedom to choose the best possible position according to their hands, after all, everyone has a different hand. What was once a serious problem in terms of ergonomics, will become something that goes beyond what is offered in the traditional console market.
