PES 2022 can be free to play; see the news

The new Pro Evolution Soccer PES 2022 can bring a big change to the football game. According to rumors, this year's PES title could be "free-to-play". Previously, Konami, responsible for publishing the game, launched PES Lite as a free alternative to the main title, which is focused on the franchise's Ultimate Team mode.

Apparently, Konami is "really changing everything" according to the podcast made by VGC (videogameschronicle), where editor Andy Robinson says the changes would be big for the football series. Unfortunately, no details were given, only the fact of the major renovation was mentioned.

    PES 2022 free to play?

The move to "free-to-play" may not please loyal fans of the franchise that pays every year due to Ultimate Team with the Master League. However, it has to be taken into account that FIFA dominates the market for football games and because of that PES was forced to get rid of agreements. However, many feel that PES has more realistic gameplay, physics and artificial intelligence.

    About PES 2021

Called the eFootball PES 2021 Season Update, PES 2021 did not bring major changes compared to its predecessor, delivering practically what players had already seen last year, being literally a "safe game" from Konami. However, this does not mean that the title is not a good option.

While Konami claimed a greater focus on PES 2022 for the next generation, which the company says will have big news, including new mechanics and a new engine, the 2021 release was treated as a major update.

With the well-known game modes and the same gameplay as PES 2020, the 2021 version remains a good choice for fans of the Konami franchise. It is worth remembering that in Brazil the game should be valued for its relationship with Spanish clubs, featuring real players unlike its rival, FIFA.
