Piepacker, a website that allows you to play retro games, arrives in Spain

Retro gaming platform Piepacker debuted in Spain earlier this week on the 8th of February. There are more than 100 retro titles available for access via the web (browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, Opera). The game library has options for consoles such as Atari, Nintendinho (NES), Super Nintendo (SNES), Mega Drive (SEGA Genesis), PS1, GBA (Game Boy Advance) and arcades.

Although Piepacker works via the web, at the moment it is only supported on Google's browser, Chrome. However, the company intends to expand its service to other browsers, in addition to cell phones and smart TVs. In Piepacker it is possible to use the Dualshock 4 as a controller, Xbox Series X/S controllers, in addition to the keyboard and mouse.

An interesting point of the Piepacker retro gaming platform is the fact that the company that manages it works only through licensing with the publishers to work with the titles in an official way. That is, users do not need to worry about piracy.

If you have a cartridge reader, you can use Piepacker as an emulator to run games on physical media. In addition, it is possible to play the games with up to three people besides you. Each player will be able to activate cameras and microphones to further improve interaction.
