Pokémon Sword and Shield sells 16 million copies in 46 days

Nintendo recently released its nine-month earnings report. In the midst of the report, a game caught attention with its sales numbers, Pokémon Sword and Shield. If we take into account the short period that has been analyzed since the launch of the title, this is an impressive result!

Pokémon Sword and Shield achieved a surprising result compared to other games

Between November 13, 2019 and December 31, 2019, Pokémon Sword and Shield achieved an astonishing 16,06 million copies. This remarkable performance is a hat-trick and we'll show you why compared to other games.

For those who are starting to play Nintendo titles, one of the most recommended titles for Switch is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which has had 16,34 million sales since its launch in 2017. However, the last game from Pokémon released for the console almost surpassed this number in just 46 days of life. The game of monsters that stay inside a ball almost also surpassed Super Smash Bros.
