    PS Plus Games of the Month for July Revealed: Rise of the Tomb Raider, NBA 2K20, and Erica

    How does PS Plus work?

    PS Plus is a paid service offered to players of Sony consoles that entitles players to play online multiplayer, game discounts, free games every month, and exclusive items. This July, Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration, NBA 2K20 and Erica will be available for free.

    A few months ago Sony decided to reduce the download speed on the Playstation Network (PSN) on their consoles.     NBA 2K20

    Developed by Visual Concepts studio, NBA 2K was originally released in late 1999 by Sega Sports, responsible for publishing the series until 2004. It is a basketball simulation game based on the North American professional championship called National Basketball. Association (NBA).

    Between 2004 and 2005, Sega Sports sold the Visual Concepts studio to Take Two Interactive. Thus, 2K Sports was born, the game development company responsible for the NBA 2K franchise until today. NBA 2K20 was released in the month of September last year (2019).

    Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration

    Originally developed by Core Design studio, Tomb Rider was first released in late 1996. It is an action-adventure game focused on exploring environments, solving challenges, facing hostile territories filled with traps. The game was so successful that it gained annual sequels, movies, comic books, and even novels.

    In 2009, Square Enix acquired Eidos Interactive, the company responsible for publishing the franchise. Rise of the Tomb Raider debuted in 2015, however it is no longer developed by Core Designs but by Crystal Dynamics and is a continuation of the title Tomb Rider, released in 2013.

    Erica

    The title Erica begins with a younger version of the protagonist, where she is undergoing an occult ritual with her father. It's a "choose your own adventure" style game. The story takes place somewhere between the girl's story and Netflix's Bandersnatch. Throughout the game, the player will have to make choices like "cooperate" or "ask" according to the conversations.

    Availability

    According to Sony, Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration, NBA 2K20 and Erica will be available from July 7th to August 3rd.


    It is important to note that the Star Wars Battlefront II and Call of Duty: WWII games will still be available until July XNUMXst.
