PlayStation 4 owners can now participate in the PlayStation Preview Program, which lets you test out upcoming updates in advance, including early access to new PartyPoker features.
Register here for a chance to participate in the PlayStation Preview Program as a Beta Tester of PS4 System Software*. After joining and being accepted as a tester, you will be able to see the following updates on Party:
- Largest number of party participants from 8 to 16
- Best audio quality for voice chat
- Improved network connectivity
But before signing up, know that you will only be able to create Parties with those who are also participating in the same program. Preventing you from creating Parties with other players who are not participating in the program.
However, the preview code provided by PlayStation is redeemable for 20 different eligible accounts, so you can share the code with your friends and experience the new Party updates together!
Party Chat Transcript
- With the new tvOS, Apple TV will be compatible with PS4 and Xbox One controllers
- Obsidian announces that The Outer Worlds is confirmed at E3 2019
Additionally, US BETA Testers will have early access to the chat transcript feature that will be available through Party and the PS4 Second Screen app.
By using this feature, you can convert Party voice chat to text in the second screen app or enter a text in the app, which will be read aloud to other party members. This feature will only be available in the US and in English only.
