A KRAFTON, Inc. announced today (15) the newest edition of the PUBG world championship: Battlegrounds, the PUBG Global Championship (PGC). The tournament will be held in Paradise City, Incheon, South Korea, between November 19th and December 19th.
32 teams from around the world will participate in the competition, vying for the prize of at least 2 million U.S. $. This edition of the PGC will have the participation of six teams from the Americas, with the guaranteed presence of at least one Latin American team.

PGC 2021
To seek qualification for the PGC, teams from the Americas will have to seek the necessary score in the four regional championships of 2021. This Thursday (16), we will have the beginning of the PCS5 Americas, the last competition of the season.
Lasting for five weeks, PGC 2021 will feature six teams from the Americas, twelve teams from Asia, eight teams from Europe and six representatives from Asia Pacific.
The championship will have a week of Rank Decision to define the starting positions in the dispute, three weeks of weekly leagues (Weekly Survival and Weekly Final) and a Grand final last week.
In addition, the championship will use the new scoring method, with the return of points according to the places in the matches and the number of eliminations of opponents. However, Weekly Survival will take into account the Most Chicken Rule, with the leaderboard being based on the number of wins each team has.
PCS5
As the last regional competition, PCS5 will feature the best teams in the Americas and will offer a prize pool of U.S. $ one thousand 250, in addition to giving points to the PGC ranking and classifying the champion of direct way to the world.
PCS5 Americas in the days 16th, 17th, 23rd, 24th and 30th of September and 1st of October, at 20 pm (Brasilia time), broadcast in Spanish on Twitch, YouTube and Facebook.
