Razer recently announced a controller for PS4 and PC, the Raion. However, it is not just any controller, the device was developed with the fighting game player community in mind.
Inspired by the layout of arcades, Raion was created with the help and feedback of players in the fighting game community, resulting in a controller that has traditional buttons, but with an arcade aspect.
Bred to fight—the new Razer Raion is the fusion of arcade stick and controller. Featuring a 6-button arcade pad layout, 8-way D-pad, and Razer Yellow Mechanical Switches for quick actuation.

In fighting games, a small fraction of a second to perform a certain command can be the difference between winning a round or losing. With that in mind, Razer created a controller that best served this demanding gaming audience. It used an 8-way tactile D-pad, 6 traditional buttons, shoulder and trigger buttons and a competition mode that disables the extra buttons for uninterrupted gaming.
