Expected by fans of the franchise, the newest Resident Evil movie recently received its official subtitle, as well as its release date, including here in Brazil, but it seems that the situation may have changed.
According to information from the ComicBook website, the newest film production of the franchise originated in the games has been postponed to November. Previously, the release date was scheduled for the 2nd of September.

The information is really surprising as it came shortly after the release date was revealed, indicating a sudden change in plans for the film. The feature will be subtitled "Welcome to Raccoon City" and should show an origin story, with the participation of several famous characters from the franchise. The film will likely have a focus on Claire Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy, who will star.
In the film, actress Kaya Scodelario will play Claire, while Avan Jogia will play Leon. Robbie Amell will play Claire's brother Chris, and Hannah John-Kamen will play Jill Valentine.

In addition to the new movie, and also a series produced by Netflix, another important release in the franchise will be Resident Evil Village, the new game that will arrive on May 7, 2021.
