Resident Evil Village: Motion Capture Was Made In The God Of War Studio

With a video revealed last Friday (7), Capcom showed some of the behind the scenes of Resident Evil Village. The content reveals some motion capture scenes of the survival horror release. Visit this link to check out our full game review!

Something interesting is the fact that Resident Evil's motion capture was recorded on the Santa Monica Studios, the major producer of God of War, the best game of the year 2018. The studio, in California, was used in the development of Village and once again saw a great game emerge.

The information was revealed by Jonathan Cooper, a professional recognized in the area for working on games like Uncharted, The Last of Us e Assassin's Creed, thus counting on a great experience in working with heavy franchises.

On his official Twitter account, Cooper talked about the motion capture process for Resident Evil Village.

"Resident Evil Village's motion capture sessions were filmed at Sony Santa Monica. Climbing the door/putting down then combined to match Lady Dimitrescu's size is a common technique for larger-than-life characters."

    Sony studios are successful

In addition to Capcom, other companies have also used Sony studios to conduct motion capture sessions. This is a common practice as Sony has high-level technological structures.

The company's technology is even used in Sony Pictures films, not just in games.
