Rocket League MOBILE! Sideswipe, free game, announced for this year

Mobile games have conquered an increasing space, being an excellent option for many players due to the practicality found when checking out these titles. Now, the time has come for another successful title in the industry to also enter the mobile gaming universe. Rocket League, a game developed by Psyonix and recently acquired by Epic Games, will come to mobile devices in its new version called Rocket League Sideswipe.

Being an extreme success on consoles and PC, with a strong competitive landscape among players and more than 50 million users, the vehicular football title will now arrive on another platform to further expand its player base.

The mobile version of Rocket League will have some differences, offering a new perspective with 1v1 and 2v2 matches. Sideswipe matches will be quick, lasting just two minutes.

It was stated that Rocket League Sideswipe reinvents the original game for mobile devices, while maintaining the essence and competitiveness. It was also revealed that the game will be free to play.

On the official Rocket League website, it was said that the game will be released later this year. The team is excited about the project.

"We're excited to announce Rocket League Sideswipe, a new standalone Rocket League experience built from the ground up for mobile platforms, launching later this year!"

According to the developers, Rocket League Sideswipe will have easy-to-use mobile controls for both experienced and novice players. As with the original Rocket League, the mobile version will have advanced mechanics for anyone interested in climbing the competitive rankings. In addition, the title will also offer robust vehicle customization.

In the coming months, more information will be revealed. We can expect some regional alpha testing to appear around here, as players from Australia and New Zealand will be able to check out the title for a limited time today. Let's hope that a testing period takes place in Spain!
