Sméagol in action: The Lord of the Rings: Gollum gets first gameplay

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum got its first gameplay. The new game set in the incredible world created by JRR Tolkien will have a different proposal from previous titles, putting players in the shoes of Gollum, the important character of The Lord of the Rings.

Influenced by Prince of Persia, the title will have parkour mechanics and will also focus on stealth, making players stealthily defeat their enemies, as Gollum is not exactly what we can call a great warrior.

The gameplay is short, but it is able to show game elements and features. You can see the focus on stealth, but we can also see how Gollum will be able to take down his enemies.

The game will show Gollum on a journey through Middle-earth, as players explore and adventure through the terrible and extremely dangerous territory of Mordor, a region well known by fans and that has even been covered in depth in the games Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War.

In addition to the various dangers that Mordor can offer, players will also have to deal with the two personalities of the game's main character, which are already known to fans who know Tolkien's work. Smeágol will present an interesting interaction with his other side, even with this being able to affect the course of the plot. It has already been said that along the way players will have to make choices that will be able to modify the events of the journey.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be out on PS5, Xbox Series X and PC and with a different look from the movies

    postponement

In January of this year, Daedalic Entertainment announced that The Lord of the Rings: Gollum has been delayed. The developer will release the game in partnership with Nacon, publisher of the recent Werewolf: The Apocalypse.

Daedalic Entertainment stated that the union with Nacon was made so that the companies can achieve the maximum power of the new generation of consoles, meeting the expectations of fans of the famous franchise.

The developer did not reveal further details about the title delay. The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is expected to arrive sometime in 2022 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
