Launched three days ago in North America, the SNES Classic Edition is already unavailable on the GameStop store chain, even though Nintendo said it would produce more units of the SNES Classic Edition than the NES Classic.
GameStop store chain confirmed that all units sold out within minutes. According to Siliconera, the company's Vice President of Marketing, Bob Puzon, congratulated Nintendo on the achievement and promised that more units are on the way from both GameStop and ThinkGeek.
Puzon said "Nintendo did it again. Consumer demand for the SNES Classic was exactly as we had hoped. All units were sold out within minutes at both of our stores."
"But don't worry. We'll get more [consoles] soon. Once we have it, consumers will be the first to know," he promised players," added Puzon.
The SNES Classic Edition arrives in Spain on October 20, priced at R$999.
