Sonic may win a commemorative collection of games for the 30th anniversary of the franchise

The studio responsible for developing Sonic, Sega, has never tired of releasing collections for one of its most popular franchises, Sonic. The titles of the series have already been released in several collections and platforms. To celebrate Sonic's 30th birthday, it looks like the Japanese game developer will release yet another collection.

The information was discovered through a French sales site called sogamely, where there is a collection commemorating the 30th anniversary of Sonic registered. On the page the package is described as "Sonic Collection EU Version". This site is the same site that registered the remastered version of Sonic Colors last month.

Sonic will win a Lego kit thanks to the Lego Ideas program!

It's a fact that another Sonic collection wouldn't be a surprise, as Sega is known for celebrating the history of its games when they reach a milestone date (5,10,15,20,25,30 years) and undoubtedly 30 years is nothing. In addition, the information matches an alleged leak by the leaker (person who reveals information before the official announcement) Zippo that occurred just over 3 months ago, where it was said that there would be a Sonic collection with Retro Engine remakes of the first two franchise games. Furthermore, it was said that the games would support widescreen and would run at 60 FPS.

    Launch and availability

As much as this information seems to be reliable, Sega has not yet officially announced anything about this alleged collection. That is, always take this information cautiously.
