Sony announces new State of Play! New Ratchet & Clank will be the focus

Sony announced a new State of Play for this week! On Thursday (29), a new live event will be held to show news to PlayStation fans, with the highlight being Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart (In Another Dimension), the new game in the Insomniac Games franchise.

Yesterday (26), a new trailer for the game was released and a new character was revealed to players. In the video, the title developer introduced the character Rivet, a female Lombax.

Rivet, who is a Lombax from another dimension, is part of the resistance against the nefarious Emperor Nefarious, who is responsible for trying to end organic life in the place where Rivet lives.

The trailer shows Ratchet and Clank being taken to another dimension by the well-known villain, as well as showing scenes of interaction between Rivet and Clank. The new character will carry the little robot on her back and show herself as skilled as Ratchet.

The video still shows the City of Nefarious, as well as showing the versions of Sargasso and Torren IV in another dimension.

Digital Deluxe Edition

Sony also revealed the content present in the Digital Deluxe Edition. With this edition of the new Ratchet and Clank adventure, players will receive, in addition to the full game, the title soundtrack, the digital art book, 20 Raritanium, an effects pack for the photo mode and still different visuals to use.

In all, there will be 5 skins for Ratchet and Rivet, being "Android", "Rebel", "Imperial", "Hacker" and "Scrap Metal".

Thursday's State of Play will not show other weight titles like God of War, Horizon: Forbidden West and other PlayStation exclusives. The event will focus on Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, so many news about the game could be revealed. A 15-minute gameplay will be shown to the public.
