Square Enix Says It Won't Release Final Fantasy VII Remake in Digital Format Anytime Soon

Even though several stores are putting release dates that differ from the officially announced for the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake, the Square Enix studio clarifies that the release date of the game, both for the physical and digital versions, will be kept for the April 10th.

On the official website of the Japanese studio, the developer of FFVII Remake clarifies:

"We understand the frustration of seeing the game on sale in some locations, the vast majority of our shipments to retailers around the world are still expected to arrive on April 10th."

The RPG game developer also adds:

"Additionally, changing the digital release at this point could lead to logistical issues that could disrupt the digital release for everyone. Therefore, we will continue with the digital release date of April 10th. Thank you for your understanding."

In short, even if you pre-purchase the digital version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, the player will only have access to the media this Friday, April 10th.

Square Enix has already delayed the release of Final Fantasy VII

Previously, Square Enix cheogu announced the postponement of the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake from March 3rd to April 10th. At least, the launch was not postponed again, even with the quarantine forced by the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Final Fantasy VII Remake demo is now available on the PS Store

On March 2, Sony announced on its Playstation Blog in Spain that the Final Fantasy VII demo was now available. The player who downloads it will be able to check out the classic Shinra Electric Power Company bomber mission followed by the escape. The characters that can be controlled in this preview of the game are Cloud and Barret, who will have to infiltrate and destroy Mako Reaktor 1.
