Star Wars is one of the greatest franchises in all of history. George Lucas' films created a worldwide and eternal fever, which expanded to all types of media. Movies, series, comics, books, games, action figures... Star Wars dominates the market in many ways, offering many products for fans of the saga.
In video games, of course, the franchise has also stood out in each generation, although the Star Wars games industry has its ups and downs in its history. In recent years, Electronic Arts was responsible for developing games inspired by the saga created by George Lucas, which led to titles such as Battlefront, Squadrons and, most notably, Jedi: Fallen Order. The developer has also released titles for mobile devices.

With titles that were praised and others that were criticized by fans, EA managed to profit more than 3 billion dollars from the Star Wars franchise. After acquiring the rights to the saga in 2012, the developer launched various titles and even got involved in loot boxes and microtransactions controversies, but nothing was able to prevent the exclusivity from being excellent for the company.
In a presentation of EA's financial results, the developer revealed the profit and also claimed to have sold more than 52 million copies of games in the franchise.

It was also revealed that mobile RPG Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes has already generated more than a billion dollars in in-game purchases with microtransactions.
