Super Mario Bros. 35 is practically a Mario battle royale

There was a very special Nintendo Direct recently. In celebration of the 35th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. A broadcast was made with several news of the plumber's games. Fans expected a lot from these announcements, except the title that didn't get a single rumor, being completely off the line: Super Mario Bros. 35. This is an online battle similar to Tetris 99.

Although it's a fight, you won't jump on players' heads to kill them like the creatures in Super Mario's stages. Instead, the player will compete with 34 other participants who will play the same stages to see who is the fastest and most effective. But that's not all, when you defeat enemies in the level, they will be sent to another player's screen, to make it more difficult to finish the level.

It is possible to activate special items in the middle of battle

During the frantic battle against 34 players, you can still activate special items like Super Stars to try to gain a certain advantage over your opponents. The competitive environment in general looks like it will be fun and can have many twists and turns throughout the battles. The good part is the wait, which won't be that long, as Mario fans had to wait less than 1 month to "get their hands" on the game (it will be available on the Nintendo Switch Online platform).

Availability and release

Super Mario Bros. 35 will debut on October 1st exclusively on digital media (yes, there will be no physical media) for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. Strangely, the game is only planned to be played on March 31, 2021, a bizarre restriction that we can't understand why. Maybe Nintendo will change its mind if the game gets a big hit.
