    The Last of Us Part 2 breaks BAFTA record with 13 nominations

    At this year's BAFTA, The Last of Us Part 2 is up for 13 awards, the most nominations seen since the event began in 2004. In 2020, Control (Remedy Entertainment) and Death Stranding (Kojima Productions) were nominated for 11 awards each.

    Developed by studio Naughty Dog, the second part of The Last of Us will be a highlight during the BAFTA 2021 nominations. However, other great titles from Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) will also stand out, such as Ghost of Tsushima (Suckerpunch) with 10 nominations, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales (Insomniac) with seven, Dreams (Media Molecule) with seven and Sackboy: A Big Adventure (Sumo Digital) with four.



    In addition to PlayStation exclusive games, there were also other interesting names during BAFTA 2021 such as Hades, a title developed by the studio Supergiant Games that received eight nominations.

    When will be?

    The BAFTA Game Awards 2021 will take place on March 25 via streaming by presenter and journalist Elle Osili-Wood. The nominees for best game of the year were:

    • Animal Crossing: New Horizons
    • Ghost of Tsushima
    • Hades
    • Half Life Alyx
    • Spider-Man: Miles Morales
    • The Last of Us Part 2

    As for the Technical Achievement award, won by Death Stranding in 2020, the 2021 nominees were:

    • Demon souls
    • Doom Eternal
    • Dreams
    • Flight Simulator
    • The Last Of Us Part II
    • Spider-Man: Miles Morales
