The next generation of Xbox is called Xbox Series X

After Phil Spencer, head of the Xbox division, made suspense about the name of Microsoft's next console saying that the name will reflect the proposal that the company wants to pass on to its players, it was revealed what the company's new Xbox will be called. The new "box" will be called Xbox Series X. Its design is very minimalistic and sober, there are not many details and its body is all black.

The Xbox Series X can be positioned either vertically (as it appeared in its presentation trailer) or horizontally. Despite this versatility, the console seems to be quite large considering its size in relation to the new control presented by the company, not helping much when it comes to finding a space to properly accommodate it (with spaces on the sides and on top to not interfere with the dissipation of heat).

About the new Xbox Wirelss Controller, Microsoft said that it has undergone some refinements in its form to provide an even better "footprint", covering a wider variety of people, in addition to receiving a button dedicated to sharing content. It will also be compatible with Xbox One and PCs. There was also the implementation of the d-pad, found on the Xbox Elite Series 2, providing a better gaming experience.

In terms of technical capabilities, the Xbox Series X will be able to run in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, reaching in some cases up to 120FPS, in addition to supporting the variable refresh rate (Variable Refresh Rate or VRR). The console will come with a custom processor that uses the RDNA Zen 2 architecture and will support hardware-accelerated ray tracing. The video game will also feature Microsoft's patented technology called Variable Rate Shading (VRS) and a custom SSD that promises to reduce or even eliminate game loading times.
