The size of Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 and reported seizure caused by the game

Cyberpunk 2077 is finally here. Players can now check out this one of the most anticipated titles of the decade, after a long waiting period. Now that the title is available for download, PS4 players can prepare to reserve a good amount of space on their hard drive just for the futuristic adventure.

With the base content complete and a first update that already fixes some issues, Cyberpunk 2077 weighs in at 102 GB of space on the PlayStation 4. The CD Projekt Red release requires more space than The Last of Us Part 2, another of the year's big titles , which at its launch required 100 GB free, just like Red Dead Redemption 2, one of the biggest games of the generation, weighed the same 100 GB.

    Gambling can cause epileptic seizures

One issue that was also highlighted at the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 was the possibility of the game causing epileptic seizures in players. Liana Ruppert, associate editor at Game Informer, warned the public about the risk in an account that describes when the title can trigger a crisis.

Update will turn Cyberpunk 2077 into "another game" at launch

Liana stated that Cyberpunk 2077 has several locations and moments where many lights flash quickly, which is the case for places like bars, clubs and other environments and moments of adventure. The journalist said she had a seizure during the Braindance session, in which you have to explore memories through a simulation. In this part of the title, players interact with their memories as red and white lights flash rapidly for a few seconds before the screen flashes white. Liana compared the situation with a method used by neurologists, in real life, to trigger a seizure, in cases that need to witness a crisis to diagnose.

Check out a tweet from the journalist.

I did have a bad seizure while playing this game but look, I get it. I'm stubborn, I'll push myself for something if the desire is high enough (don't be like me). If you have any sort of epilepsy leanings, here is what you need to know about Cyberpunk 2077. Be safe, friends ???? https://t.co/ozAGV48hVC

CD Projekt Red is already aware of the event and has even issued a statement regarding the matter, stating that it will put a warning in the game and that it is working towards a solution.

Thank you for bringing this up. We’re working on adding a separate warning in the game, aside from the one that exists in the EULA (https://t.co/eXpPn73VSK). Regarding a more permanent solution, Dev team is currently exploring that and will be implementing it as soon as possible. https://t.co/lXFypnSit2

"Thanks for raising this issue. We are working on adding a separate notice in the game in addition to the one in the EULA. Regarding a more permanent solution, the development team is exploring this and will implement it as soon as possible."
