The Witcher 3 is coming to Nintendo Switch

The Witcher 3 is coming to Nintendo Switch

The Witcher 3 joins a growing list of older games that are finding new life in the Nintendo Switch, titles like Skyrim, LA Noire, Dark Souls, Diablo 3 and most recently, Dragon's Dogma.

The Witcher 3 will arrive in a "full edition", so players will have access to the base game as well as several subsequent expansions.

The game was revealed for the Nintendo Switch, during E3 2019, CD Projekt Red confirmed that the game will run at 720p with dynamic resolution in docked mode (TV) and at a fixed 540p on handheld.

In addition, the Cycu1 channel made a comparison of the game's trailer with the PS4 version.

Undoubtedly, as it is an extremely ambitious open-world RPG even for the PS4 and Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch had to undergo some adaptations in terms of quality to run on the Switch: after all, it is a portable weaker than other current consoles because of its portability. However, the result seems extremely satisfactory.

The resolution is the most visible factor at first, but there is a reduction in the quality of textures and models, as you can see in the skeleton hanging at the beginning of the video above comparing the two versions.
