During The Game Awards, Wizards of the Coast revealed a new set for their Magic: The Gathering (MTG) card game. The new decks will be inspired by Greek mythology. The new collection is called "Theros Beyond Death" and its plot is based on Elspeth TIrel's journey through the underworld, with the aim of returning to life.
In all, there will be 350 new cards. In addition, there will also be new mechanics implemented in the game, such as the Escape ability, which, for a fee, will allow you to take a card from the graveyard. We will also have the return of old mechanics such as, for example, Saga enchantments.

According to the developer, the aim is:
"Telling relevant historical events from the multiverse, promoting effects over three rounds in a match, and even bringing in land cards with constellation-inspired art"
The new collection will be available from January 16, 2020, in digital version, and on the 17th, in physical form. There is the possibility to purchase it in advance through the "Game Awards After Party" event at MTG Arena. This event will be available until today and famous cards will be available, such as the Black Lotus, the Solar Ring and the Bone Splinter (every three wins, the player will win a "Theros Beyond Death" booster pack).
Bundles Pack will also be available from the collection for the MTG Arena, where there will be a themed knight Elspeth Tirel and the protagonist Ashiok. Each bundle will have a planeswalker card and a custom image to decorate the back of the cards, as well as tokens and boosters. If the player buys both packages, he will be entitled to win a gift from the Cerberus mascot for the MTG Arena.
