Demon Slayer: Kimetso no Yaiba is a story that takes place in an ancient time, where humans were plagued by demons (Onis). The story begins with the main character, Tanjirō Kamado, who worked selling coal in the villages near his home. As our "hero" lived in the middle of a forest, there was a time that was spent between going to the villages to sell the coal stubs and returning home. On one of these trips, on the way back Tanjiro finds his entire family dead and discovers that the cause was an Oni (demon from Japanese mythology). From there, Tanjiro begins training to become a demon hunter (Onis), carrying his sister (the only survivor), who became an Oni.
