Ubisoft's Star Wars Game Will Take Some Time to Release

Recently, Star Wars fans were excited by the news that Ubisoft will make a game set in the famous franchise. After the Electronic Arts deal changes, Disney will also work with other developers to release new games in the saga.

However, despite the Ubisoft project being confirmed, the game should still take some time to be released. Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft who previously stated that development is at an early stage, has now revealed that the game will not arrive "anytime soon".

Guillemot even said that Ubisoft is still looking for professionals to work on this project, which according to the CEO is one of the most ambitious in the French publisher's history. Guillemot also commented that many people have shown interest in being part of the project.

"We see a lot of people wanting to participate in this adventure, and it's actually a really good thing."

Star Wars has already made over $3 billion for EA

    Massive Entertainment

Massive Entertainment, the Swedish studio responsible for The Division, is the studio that will deliver the new adventure set in the universe created by George Lucas.

There is still no more in-depth information about the title and it is not even known on which platforms it will be available. However, it has already been revealed that the new Star Wars game will be an open world title developed in the Snowdrop engine, the same graphics engine as The Division.

In January, talking to Wired, Yves Guillemot commented on the Massive Entertainment project, stating the team's excitement for this new game.

"We're excited to have our studio at Ubisoft Massive work together with Lucasfilm Games to create an original Star Wars adventure that's unlike anything that's been done before."
