Finally, the personalized news portal that Valve had been testing since March of this year became accessible to the general public. It is now possible to access it by clicking on the "News" button in the "Shop" drop-down menu of the platform. Previously, there was a news feed that showed information to everyone regardless of interest, but with the "News Hub" that will change.
The News Hub is a place where the user will have access to posts of games that you play or have a high chance of playing. The system analyzes the games and their features that you have on your wishlist and downloaded to your library, to provide you with more relevant information. Shared news contains all sorts of information, such as patch notes and tournament announcements.
Cyberpunk 2077 surpasses 1 million concurrent players on Steam
If you want to change what is indicated by the News Hub, you can exclude the ones you don't like, so that the system learns better about your tastes. Also, it is possible to add game sites through Steam Curator. Event news comes with an option that allows the player to subscribe to email reminders or via the mobile app (Observation: you can also add them to Google Calendar or iCal).
The News Hub will show you updates on the most popular events
Valve's new personalized news platform will display, in addition to general information about games related to user activities, updates on the most popular events on the gaming platform, as well as official Steam announcements.
