Recently this weekend, it was reported that Watch Dogs: Legion is getting a performance boost on next-gen consoles. According to Ubisoft, the game will now support 60 frames per second (FPS) on both PS5 and Xbox Series X. The novelty will arrive in update 4.5 for Sony and Microsoft video games.

Although Watch Dogs: Legion was announced as one of the next generation games with Ray Tracing support and 4K resolution, the game has run at 30 FPS since its debut. According to Kotaku, Ubisoft commented on the 60 FPS mode in an AMA (Ask me Anything) last month. According to the developer, this is "one of the biggest requests from our next-gen console players."

Other Ubisoft titles also gained performance improvements

Games like Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Rainbow Six Siege also got updates to reach 120 FPS with 4K resolution.

    Launch and availability

Unfortunately, the developer of Watch Dogs: Legion did not provide an exact date for the new update. However, it was said that the new patch notes will be revealed when the new update is closer to being released.
