Worms Rumble promises to bring the nostalgia of the Worms franchise and at the same time innovate. Instead of a combat of rounds to perform movements, the game takes place in real time with up to 32 participants where it is possible to choose between Battle Royale and Deathmatch modes. The title will be released on December 1st for the PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4 and PS5 platforms, but that's not all, PlayStation Plus (PS Plus) subscribers will be able to play it at no extra cost (Worms Rumble will be available on Sony's subscription platform until January 4th).
Releasing the game and making it available for free on PS Plus at the same time proved to be a good formula for success for some multiplayer games such as Rocket League and Fall Guys. Added to this, Worms Rumble still has the advantage of the "nostalgia factor", thus having a good chance of becoming a big hit. As if that wasn't enough, the pink worms title will still have support for cross-play on PC, including even more players for online multiplayer.
Worms will have a new game and will feature a real-time battle royale mode!In the month of December, PS Plus subscribers will also have access to other titles for free, they are: Just Cause 4 and 3v3 shooter Rocket Arena. In addition, it is interesting to note that PlayStation Plus users still have access to game offers from November until the 30th (next Monday). The titles available for free download on the platform are: Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition and Middle-earth: Shadow of War.
Sony promises PS5 games in the lineup of monthly free titles on PS Plus
It's worth noting that while Sony has stated that their goal is to "add PS5 games regularly to the monthly games lineup", we still don't have PS5 exclusives available. However, PlayStation 5 console owners will be able to access many PS4 games through the PS Plus library.
