[Analogue Pocket] One of the best creators of high-end retro consoles is creating a game boy

The premium console developer, Analogue, after creating redesigned and improved versions of the NES (Nintendinho), Super NES (Super Nintendo) and Sega Genesis (Mega Drive), decided to create a new version of the Game Boy handheld video game. The premium version of Nintendo's handheld, called the Analogue Pocket, will be able to play games from Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance and later. A dream come true that will please many fans without a doubt.

The great little classic comes to show that it's not just a retro video game, boasting a 3,5-inch LED screen with a resolution of 1600x1440 (10x resolution of the original Game Boy screen) with 615ppi. But it doesn't stop there, the Pokect has stereo speakers, micro SD card slot, headphone jack, lithium-ion battery and an original Game Boy link port in case you need it for any game. However, if you think that the portable console developed by Analogue uses emulation to "run" the games, you are wrong, it uses an FPGA chip to simulate the original game systems at the hardware level, that is, the device is really a Game Boy or Game Boy Color, etc.

Analogue Pocket does not have an HDMI output port, however, it does have an optional base that allows you to play your content on a larger screen (monitor or television). The base also has USB ports for using wired or Bluetooth controllers. The value of the accessory has not yet been informed.

But then you ask yourself "Why redesign the Game Boy?". According to Christopher Taber, CEO of Analogue, product design is part of one of the main points of his company's development philosophy.

"The video game industry is largely homogeneous, from games to hardware design. Compared to other industries, the video game industry is quite immature in terms of diversity in exploring concepts when it comes to design. possible ways or it's just not interesting for us."
