Apex Legends Mobile had its launch announced earlier this week. According to the EA blog and Respawn studio, responsible for the game's development, a limited regional release is being made, where players from selected countries will be able to register and download the app for Android and iOS. However, the chosen regions do not include Spain, despite the presence of several Latin American nations.
Sign-up and download for the limited release of Apex Legends Mobile began on March 7 at 21PM ET. The countries initially selected for the title's debut were:
- Australia
- New Zealand
- Singapore
- Malasia
- Philippines
- Indonesia
- Mexico
- Peru
- Argentina
- Colombia
The game is not quite ready for release yet.
According to Respawn, Apex Legends Mobile is not yet ready for release and this is the reason for the limited release of the game. Players from selected countries who participate now will have the function of giving feedback on what they think of the title so that the official debut can be made without too many problems. Players will be able to use the following characters:
- Bloodhound
- Gibraltar
- Lifeline
- Wraith
- Bangalore
- Octane
- The Mirage,
- Pathfinder
- Caustic (unlocked at Battle Pass level 25)
Developers are looking to improve the Store experience which will be accessible on May 3rd for those participating in the limited regional release. However, according to Respawn, "Account progress and unlocked items obtained during the limited regional release period will be restored prior to the game's launch. All items purchased during this period using in-game currency will be converted to in-game currency from equivalent amount and made available to your account when the game launches later this year."
The studio, as a thank you to players participating in the limited regional release, will give a 25% in-game currency bonus. Additionally, it is said that Legend skins obtained at the end of the Battle Pass will be transferable from the regional launch app to the worldwide launch version.
Launch and availability
Unfortunately, no information has been given about the release date of Apex Legends Mobile. The only thing that was said is that "this game is worth the wait".
