Anthem update has legendary quests and even new rewards

BioWare has released an update for Anthem, with the inclusion of so-called legendary quests, the Elysian Deposits, changes to the loot system and other news.

The studio, through an official publication, explains all the news. Legendary quests allow players to redo some story quests, but with "drastic changes" to enemies. Players will only be able to play one legendary quest per day. Six quests will be available: Missing Arcanist; incursion; Finding Old Friends; The Tomb of General Tarsis; The Dawn Fortress; and Downed Freelancer.

Players will be able to access the legendary quest of the day from the Expedition screen at the launch dock or even Fort Tarsis, and will be able to play as many times as they like until the next one becomes available.

BioWare recommends that the player be at max level and have at least some Masterwork or Legendary rank items. The items that will drop for collection during legendary quests are superior and are still affected by the difficulty level the participant chooses. The studio still plans to increase the set of legendary quests in the future.

Changes to the loot system include the possibility of chests offering extra items and crafting materials in Strongholds, Lire Mode and even quests. For those playing on Grandmaster difficulty 1 or higher, the loot from bosses in Strongholds will be greater, as will the chances of getting Masterwork and Legendary items.

Anthem is available for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. BioWare recently said the game had a "more complicated launch than expected" and promises the best is yet to come.
