During the EA Play 2020 live it was announced that Apex Legends will arrive on the digital game distribution platform Steam in October this year. In fact, this action is part of a larger project to migrate Electronic Arts games to Valve's online game store. An example of this is the recent arrival of The Sims 4, Titanfall 2 and others.
Developed by studio Respawn Entertainment in partnership with EA, Apex Legends will not only be present on Steam but will also receive crossplay support. In this way, the title will cover the platforms Origin, Steam, Xbox One, PS4 and a new version for the Nintendo Switch. It remains to be seen how Respaw will handle the differences between mouse + keyboard versus console controllers.

About Apex Legends
Developed by Respawn Entertainment, Apex Legends was originally released in early 2019 for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It is a battle royale published by Electronic Arts that supports up to 20 squads of 3 people on a single map. Players arrive on an island where they must search for weapons and supplies before starting combat with their opponents.
An interesting system of this battle royale is the fact that as time passes, the battle area on the map shrinks, forcing players to move around or find a location outside the play area. The team that is alive at the end of the round wins.
