    Battlefield 2042: Check out the 3.1 patch notes

    Battlefield 3.1 Update 2042 will be released tomorrow, December 9, bringing fixes, improvements and changes to the game developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts. Among the new features of the update are improvements to shooting consistency, changes to vehicle cannon balance, audio improvements, different bug fixes and more.     Battlefield 3.1 Update 2042

    "Last week, we released Update #3, which included a large set of changes to improve your gameplay experience. We wanted to get these changes into your hands as quickly as possible, and now we're continuing this week's update as promised. packed with new fixes and balance changes."



    On the official website, Electronic Arts highlighted some of the major changes in the update. Check it out below.

    • Improved consistency of hit records

    • Balance changes for bullet dispersion and recoil

    • Other balance changes for 30mm, 40mm, and 57mm ground vehicle guns to reduce their effectiveness against infantry

    • A fix for a rare bug where a player may appear invisible to enemies

    • Fixes for various bugs related to grenades and launchers

    • Menu flow improvements for Xbox players to make it easier to disable crossplay

    • Various audio improvements to enhance your overall sound experience, with a focus on clarity, distance and directional perception

    General

    • People who are not group leaders can now cancel while waiting in line
    • Xbox - Crossplay can now be toggled on/off in the Xbox Options menu
    • Your ranking settings will now be remembered correctly when refreshing the Battlefield: Portal server browser
    • Fixed an issue where equipment would sometimes be empty on the spawn screen when joining a server, preventing weapon selection
    • We've made improvements to ensure that aim assist is more consistent when playing on consoles
    • The Ranger's effective combat range and overall health have been decreased

    Audio

    • We've made a number of adjustments to the overall audio experience to improve clarity, distance and directional perception
    • Fixed an issue where soldiers would not always make specific footstep sounds indoors

    Arms

    • Removed the bounce from Underbarrel Grenades when firing at close ranges.
    • 40mm AP Grenades now correctly damage vehicles
    • Fixed some weapons displaying wrong ammo counts for specific magazines.
    • Reload animation for DXR-1 and NTW-50 bolt-action rifles has been increased by 0,2 seconds
    • Adjusted dispersion values ​​for most weapons, which results in a faster dispersion decrease when firing fast or making short bursts
    • Adjusted scatter increases for most weapons It now takes a little longer for weapons to become very imprecise in multishot
    • Adjusted recoil values ​​to avoid aggressive jumps of recoil for the AK24, LCMG, PKP-BP, SFAR-M GL and PP-29
    • Improved non-aim shooting accuracy for all submachine guns so that they stand out better from other automatic weapon archetypes
    • Light machine gun dispersion and recoil have been reduced to improve multi-shot performance
    • Additional improvements to the recoil control of all weapons, more specifically automatic weapons
    • Increased the MCS-880's damage and consistency when using bullets or darts
    • Fixed a bug that caused projectiles to be fired below the crosshairs of people playing with the SFAR-M GL and K30

    Vehicles



    • Fixed a bug where vehicle weapons would sometimes not deal explosive damage when hitting directly
    • We are reducing the effectiveness of the ground vehicle's 30mm cannon against infantry. It now overheats faster, has a slightly lower fire rate and burst damage, and has a greater ranged damage reduction
      • Rate of fire 350 -> 330
      • Heat per projectile 0,13 -> 0,14
      • Heat loss per second 0,5 -> 0,475
      • Blast damage: 20 > 18
    • Hovercraft LCAA - 40mm LPG Grenade Launcher
      • Decreased explosion damage from 55 -> 35
