This Tuesday afternoon (12), Bethesda announced the development of a new game belonging to the Indiana Jones saga, which had its first movie premiered on the big screen in 1981 and since then conquered viewers with four more titles, one of which is scheduled to debut next year. In addition to the films, the plot also features several classic games that are available for various platforms, such as the PlayStation 2, for example, a console that was released in 2000 by Sony.

New game

The new game from the Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) film series is being produced by Bethesda in partnership with MachineGames and in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, which was recently recovered by Disney and will return to producing classic titles, such as the Star Wars saga, for example. The executive production of the game is under the responsibility of Todd Howard.

There are still not many details on how the game's dynamics will be, but it is to be expected that the title bears similarities to what we find in 'Tomb Raider' in the adventures of Lara Croft.

The image above is a screenshot of the teaser published today, Tuesday (12), on Bethesda's social media. In the 30-second video, it is possible to identify several references to the most famous archaeologist in cinema, such as the diary (which appears in the movie "Indiana Jones and the last crusade (1989)", the hat and the whip, the latter being one of the main character characteristics.

Disney recovers Lucasfilm Games and will use the brand in the Star Wars games

"A new Indiana Jones game with an original story is in development at our studio @MachineGames and will be executive produced by Todd Howard in collaboration with @LucasfilmGames. It will be some time before we have more to reveal but we are very excited to share today's news!" posted Bethesda on its Twitter.

Compatibility

For now, there are not many details about the game's production and platforms on which it will be released. Despite this, rumors indicate that the next Indiana Jones game will only be compatible with PC and Xbox.
