    Call of Duty franchise exceeds $3 billion in annual revenue

    Activision today announced that the Call of Duty franchise has set new records this year 2020 after changing its business model strategy. After launching Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, a record-breaking title as well, the Call of Duty series has earned total revenue of $3 billion in the last 12 months.

    According to Activison, the performance achieved in 2020 was spectacular in terms of engagement and sales. The company says that Call of Duty is in an incredible moment, where it has achieved an increase of more than 80% in its total revenue and a 40% higher sales performance compared to last year. In 2020 more than 200 million people played Call of Duty, achieving great success on both consoles and PC, breaking records for the number of hours played.
