The studio responsible for the development of Rocket League, Psyonix, recently announced that the second season of the game will start on December 9th (next Wednesday). Among the news that will come to the game are the addition of a new customization of hymns, new songs and songs by the artist Kaskade. In addition, there will be a new arena, a new Rocket Pass and more!
What's New in Rocket League Season 2
Check out what Rocket League Season 2 has to offer players below:
- Hymns: This new customization option will allow players to select songs to be played after scoring goals in the Arena. More information about the anthems will be revealed tomorrow on the Rocket League website.
- New music and content by Kaskade: Psyonix has partnered with traditional electronic music label and Kaskade producer Monstercat to create an EP with songs especially for Rocket League. The first song, "Flip Reset", featuring WILL K, is available in-game and was featured in the Season 2 trailer and on streaming platforms (here). Additional Kaskade music and content will become available throughout the season.
- Novo Rocket Pass: This season's Rocket Pass includes music-themed items, some of which will pulse and flash in time with the Arena menu and music. The aptly named R3MX car and over 70 levels of exclusive items will be available to those who unlock the Rocket Pass Premium.
- Arena Neon Fields: This new electronic music-inspired arena will be available for online playlists and private matches.
- Rocket Labs: Rocket Labs will return as a casual Limited Time Mode throughout the season.
- Additional Updates: New competitive rewards, Challenges, Quality of Life improvements, and changes to the Esports store will be coming in Season 2 as well. More information on the changes to the Esports store will be available early next week.
