In its latest update, Call of Duty Modern Warfare showed players clues from Black Ops Cold War, as well as showing a list of new game modes that could potentially come to Modern Warfare multiplayer and the battle royale Warzone, including the return of zombies!
The name of the new zombie mode is Zombie Royale, which, as the name implies, will arrive in Call of Duty Warzone. The information comes from the data miner ModernWarzone and according to him, players will start out as humans and can turn into zombies throughout the game. When a player dies, they will become undead, however, upon consuming an enemy's heart, the player will revert to being human once more.

In Warzone there will also be Nightall, where players will be able to roam the map in the midst of darkness.

Having previously appeared in Infinite Warfare and Ghosts, the Realism Ground War Reinforce mode will resurface. This is a variant of the domination mode where respawing is disabled until an ally holds the flag.
Modern Warfare multiplayer will also get new playlists, including Shiptember and Shootmember.
