Fortnite launches new season with the participation of the X-Men against the villain Galactus

Season 2 of Fortnite: Chapter XNUMX has been announced by Epic Games. This time the theme will be Marcel's heroes on a mission to defeat Galactus, one of the villains of the Marvel universe. The name of the new season of the battle royale is "Nexus War", the name of an event that takes place in the comics of the superheroes created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

The war to save Reality starts now.

Players who purchase the Season Battle Pass will have the chance to unlock the characters Iron Man, Mystique, Doctor Doom, Groot, She-Hulk, and the amnesiac Thor. It was also said by Fortnite developers that a member of the X-Men will be revealed later this season.

"Be warned, Wolverine has been spotted on the island and he won't come quietly."

In order to explain how the crossover between the X-Men and Fortnite took place, Epic Games decided to continue the characters from the Marvel comics. Basically, the power of the Fortnite island caused Thor and Galactus to be attracted and later the god of thunder summoned other heroes (Iron Man, Wolverine and Captain America) to help him. At a certain point in the story, Thor drops his hammer, forming a crater on the island of Fortnite, thus ending the third season with the following sentence:

"It will continue in season four."

Fortnite has already had the presence of other superheroes such as the Avengers (Avengers), Batman, Deadpool and Aquaman. During these character transitions, the game's island setting always ends up changing in some way.

As Fortnite Season XNUMX begins, Epic Games has been facing a lawsuit against Apple and Google over Play Store and App Store payments (see the case here). The latest development was Apple's attempt to block the Unreal Engine graphics engine (a tool created by Epic Games) for all iOS and macOS game developers.

Although it is possible to install Fortnite on an iPhone (see how to do it here), unfortunately fans of the game will not have access to the new season, due to Apple's blocking of updates on the App Store (iOS app store).
