    About Death Stranding

Death Stranding was the first game developed by Hideo Kojima through Kojima Productions studio after its separation from Konami in 2015, the company where he developed the Metal Gear franchise titles. The game that many thought would be exclusive to Sony's platform, was released in November 2019 for the Playstation 4 platform, and received an announcement that it would be made available for PC in the following year, 2020.

Death Stranding takes place in the US despite having beautiful landscapes based in Iceland during recovery from an event called Death Stranding. This event caused several changes on the planet, causing creatures that were killed to wander through the world of the living even though they were connected to the world of the dead by beaches (places of passage of people). These creatures called EPs cause explosions known as "voids" when consuming dead from necrosis, producing a rain known as "Timefall", which causes anything it touches to rapidly age.

Timefall caused infrastructure across the country to age, forcing people to live underground in remote colonies called "Knot Cities" and communicate through holograms and a connected network. The various isolated cities form the "United Cities of America", called the UCA, and the objective of the game is initially to reconnect all these locations to bring the country back together and regain communication and technology through data exchange between regions. For this, the character Sam Porter Bridges is tasked with carrying out several deliveries and using a device called Qubit to perform the reconnection of the UCA.
