One of the games being developed to be released exclusively for the Playstation 5 (initially, as it is intended to be released later for Windows), Deathloop, has an interesting feature when using the technology of the adaptive triggers of the DualSense controller.
It is known that the new controller developed for the PS5 has the technologies of adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, which has already been addressed by several game developers when the commercial trailer for the new Sony console was released yesterday. Amidst the statements from the game studios, Deathloop game director Dinga Bakaba said something that caught the public's attention. This is the controller's reaction when the weapon jams in the game, where DualSense will prevent the player from pressing the trigger.
Dinga says:
"I'm really excited about the adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, both features that will bring some physicality to gameplay experiences and give important feedback. Deathloop being a first-person shooter, we do a lot of things to make weapons feel different from each other. One I like is locking the triggers when your weapon jams, to give the player immediate feedback even before the animation ends, which physically tells the player to unlock their weapon."
This month Sony even described how PS5 accessories will be compatible with the PS5, in addition to saying how it will happen. Unfortunately, there were several barriers regarding the possibilities of using current generation devices, so much so that Microsoft even published about the compatibility of its console accessories just to provoke.
