After Epic Games tried to add its own payments system in Fortnite's latest update to the Play Store (Android) and App Store (iOS), Google and Apple pulled the app from their stores. However, know that it is still possible to install Fortnite safely on your iPhone (iOS).
If you've never downloaded Fortnite on your iPhone, unfortunately this tutorial won't work for you. However, if your scenario is from someone who has played Epic Games' battle royale, even if it's just to try it out, know that it's still possible to play the game. Check out how to do this in the step-by-step below:
How to install Fortnite again on iPhone
Step 01: Open the App Store and go to the "My Purchases" section. To do this, select your avatar (identifying image) in the upper right corner of the application's home screen.
Step 02: Select "purchased" to find the list of all applications already installed on the device. This listing will contain all the apps you've already installed on your iPhone (even if they've been uninstalled).
Step 03: Search for "Fortnite".
Step 04: When the Fortnite app appears, select the cloud icon with an arrow to start the download and installation.
It is important to note that it will be necessary to download almost 10GB of application files, as most of the data must be recovered from Epic Games' servers. With this process it will be possible to put the game icon back on the iPhone home and it will be available as soon as the update is finished on the smartphone. This path should work even if a member of the Apple Family Sharing plan has already downloaded Fortnite on iOS before.
According to Epic Games, the fourth season of Fortnite Chapter 2 will be released on August 27th, but it will not be available for iOS. Remembering that this week Epic Games reported that Apple is withdrawing the studio's access to development tools for iOS and macOS.
