EA Play Subscription Service Coming to Steam on August 31

Electronic Arts has officially released the information, the EA Play game subscription service will launch on Steam on August 31, bringing the number of available platforms to four.

You can also access it on Play Station 4, Xbox One, and Electronic Arts' own Origin store on PC. Electronic Arts originally announced plans to support Valve's platform a year ago.

Now finally the service will come to Steam, EA Play is a combination of EA Access and Origin Access subscription services. When announcing the rebranding, EA said it decided to combine the services because it is "an important step in streamlining our services to ensure easy access for any EA Play member."

EA Play subscribers will have access to great Electronic Arts hits, among the titles we can mention The Sims 4. In addition, users of the service will also have access to special content exclusive to members and will be able to play new titles that arrive on the platform through of early access.

They'll also be able to access "a collection of our most beloved series and titles, and save 10% on EA digital purchases, from full games to DLC."

EA Play currently has monthly and annual plans, the annual plan being more advantageous, for monthly access, you pay US$4,99, while the annual plan costs US$29,99.

There is yet another premium access plan called EA Play Pro, prices are higher. Monthly "Pro" access costs US$14,99 per month and for annual payment, the gamer will pay US$99,99. This plan includes early access to all new EA titles. EA Play Pro used to be called Origin Access Premier. It was the premium version of Origin Access.

Although at first the annual fee of almost 100 dollars may seem high, it is worth remembering that most of the time gamers end up spending more than that per year in their gaming marathons.
