Epic Games announces #freefortnite tournament with anti-Apple prizes

Epic Games is currently suing Apple and its App Store (iOS app store) policies. So far, Apple has gone so far as to pull Fortnite from the App Store and remove Epic Games' access to iOS and mac OS development tools. Now, to give back, Epic Games has decided to hold a Fortnite tournament on August 23rd, where the winners will win anti-Apple prizes.

Participants in the competition that Epic Games will be holding will be able to win an evil-looking "apple" skin (which appeared in the "Nineteen Eighty-Fortnite" video made by Epic Games), a "Free Fortnite" hat and even gamer hardware for non-game games. -iOS such as an Alienware notebook, a Galaxy Tab S7 tablet, a OnePlus 8 smartphone, a PS4 Pro, an Xbox One X, and a Nintendo Switch.

In the publication on the Epic Games website where it talks about the championship, the studio reminded Fortnite players for iOS that they will not be able to play the next season of the game, scheduled for August 27, in addition to probably adding significant updates. It was suggested by the developer of the battle royale that Apple users migrate to other platforms where Fortnite is available before the next season starts (example: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac and Android).

Epic Games tried to file an injunction earlier this week to prevent Apple from pulling the studio out of Apple's developer program, but the company said it "will not make an exception" for the studio. According to Epic Games, the "apple" will remove the company from the Apple Developer Program on the 28th of this month.
