Fortnite has been very successful in recent years, however, no game can stay at the top forever. There comes a time when players get tired and prefer to move on to other titles. Apple even took advantage of this factor, even claiming that Epic Games would be attacking the policies of the App Store to increase interest in Fortnite.
Even though it's clearly a tease on Apple's part, its words seem to be being carried over into the series by Epic Games. Now the studio is promoting a campaign called "Reboot a friend", which aims to encourage players to pick a person from their friend list who hasn't played in at least 30 matches and invite them to have fun. To make the move attractive, Epic Games is giving away prizes every 1, 5, 10 and 20 matches that are played with friends.
Check out below the tweet from the official Fortnite account on the social network Twitter announcing the event:
Been a while since you and your squad played together?
Well no worries! Get your friends back together, play some Fortnite and earn awesome rewards with the Reboot a Friend program.

This tactic to encourage people to play Fortnite has already been done similarly in the game. These are battle passes, which give you access to various rewards as you complete missions.
Launch and availability
For now, the "Roboot a friend" campaign is in beta, meaning it's likely not going to be permanent. However, there is also the chance that the tests will prove successful and the program will evolve. "Roboot a friend" will be available until January 4th.
