The New Product Launch event presented by Xiaomi was divided into two parts: yesterday (29) the company announced the arrival of the Mi Band 6, in addition to five new members of the Mi 11 line; and today, the Chinese giant took the opportunity to announce the Mi Mix Fold, the brand's first folding model that boasts high-end camera and audio system technology. But in addition, Xiaomi has also announced that it is entering the electric car business, the company's next investment field.
According to what has been disclosed, the company will create a subsidiary brand that will run its entire electric vehicle business, and Lei Jun, Xiaomi's CEO, will also act in the same position within the framework of this subsidiary brand. The investment for this project is within US$10 billion for the next 10 years, starting with an initial investment of US$1,5 billion.
