The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening was announced by Nintendo earlier this year for the Nintendo Switch console. After the announcement, we had during a Nintendo press conference, during the E3 2019 event, the announcement of the game's release date, which will be September 20th this year.

The remake of The Legend of Zelda comes with a beautiful and colorful look that manages to convey the game's top-down perspective of the original. If you have never played the original version, released in 1993 for the Game Boy, it will be even better, as you will experience this excellent game for the first time with improved graphics and gameplay.

The story of Link's Awakening begins with Link brave the waters in the midst of a thunderous storm that ends up sinking his vessel, causing our character to end up through the currents on an island called Koholint, which is protected by the great Wind Fish (fish of wind) asleep. The player will control Link and will discover several mysteries, assembling puzzles according to clues and fighting various monsters, so that in the end he manages to gather eight magical instruments to wake up the Wind Fish, the only creature that can free him from the island. The game Link's Awakening brings a little bit of the essence of Zelda, as there was no participation of Princess Zelda, the Triforce or Hyrule.

So far, only one freebie is available to those who pre-order the game and it is exclusive to GameStop. The store recently announced that it will be offering a double-sided poster featuring art from the Link's Awakening game.

The standard version of the game comes with physical media only and will cost US$60,00.

However, in addition to this edition with the poster, a limited edition for Europe and Australia was also announced. Unfortunately, there is no news about the coming of this edition to the Americas. The edition comes with a steel book with the game boy art, another 120 page book and of course the game.

There will also be a stylized case themed for the new game by Link's Awakening for sale to hold your Nintendo Switch. It will retail for US$20,00 and will be available from September 24th.
