Google Go: Search app optimizes search and saves your data plan

After more than a year and having a limited release in India and Indonesia, now the Google Go is available worldwide.

At just over 7 MB, the app serves as a way to find information online for devices that have modest configurations.

In addition, it has a function that allows you to store search results even when you are offline.

The app is now available on Play Store, and Google says it's compatible with all devices running Android 5.0 or higher.

Google Go: Search app optimizes search and saves your data plan

Earlier this year, Google added Lens functionality to Google Go, which allows the app to use its camera to read real-world text aloud. The app also supports voice search, and since last year it can read web pages aloud.

O Google Go it's just one of many Go-branded apps that Google produces for emerging markets. This includes the Gmail Go, which offers a leaner email experience, the Gallery Go, which you can use to organize your photos.

Besides the Files Go, which aims to help Android device users free up internal storage space in search of unnecessary files, duplicates and more. You can learn more about this Google tool here.
