This Wednesday (04) Google announced the arrival of its smartphones, Pixel 2 and 2 XL. If you've been following the rumors around the subject over the last few weeks, you should realize that the products are exactly as talked about in the news.
The Pixel 2 XL has a larger, longer screen with rounded corners. The display features reduced edges, with two front speakers for stereo sound. The Pixel 2 features a 5,5-inch AMODEL panel with Full HD resolution, which delivers 441 pixels per inch, while the Pixel 2 XL features LG's P-OLED technology on a 6-inch screen with Quad HD+ resolution ( 2880 x 1440), resulting in 537 pixels per inch.
The device is made of all metal, with a small part made of glass on the back of the smartphone. The fingerprint reader remains in the same place as it was in previous versions of the Pixel line. The Power button, in some versions, gains prominence being presented in another color.
The Pixel 2 XL would have been manufactured by LG, which would be featuring the same display present in the LG V30. The Pixel 2 would have been manufactured by the company that Google recently acquired, HTC. It is worth noting that the information regarding the manufactures was not confirmed by the company.
The operating system present in the devices is Android 8.0 Oreo. In addition, Google Assistant can be activated with a simple tap on the edge of the smartphone. As for the camera system, none of the devices has a dual camera. The P2 input for headphones doesn't exist either.
Hardware
For the second generation of the Pixel line, Google has bet on the most advanced in Qualcomm's portfolio, the devices have a Snapdragon 835 chipset with a 2,35 GHz octa-core processor and Adreno 540 GPU to support any game or app on Android .
Both devices have 4 GB of RAM and two options for internal storage, 64 or 128 GB, without expansion via microSD.

Price and availability
The Google Pixel 2 comes in three color options: black, blue and white. The option with 64 GB of internal storage costs US$ 649, equivalent to R$ 2.030, without taxes. The model with 128 GB of internal memory costs US$ 749, about R$ 2.345, without taxes.
Anyone interested in purchasing the Pixel 2 XL will have to pay $64 for the 849 GB memory model, equivalent to 2.650. While the version with 128 GB of internal memory costs US$ 949, approximately R$ 2.970. The Pixel 2 XL comes in black and white.
Smartphone pre-sales start today, September 04th. In the North American market, Google's new smartphones arrive on September 19. The Pixel 2 model will initially be exclusive to the Verizon operator, but can also be found on the Google store.
